Metal structural and cast iron components of a small and a very large size can be processed by Temponi. The furnaces used are equipped with control and management devices, which ensure the utmost accuracy of the set heat cycle and full traceability of each component, even remotely.
The following processes are carried out at the plant in Nave:
- Stress relieving
- Ferritizing annealing
- Personalised cycles (on customer’s specific instructions).
Each heat treatment is controlled by traditional electronic monitoring systems, supported by sophisticated software that reads, records and stores all the cycles performed.
Shotblasting and sandblasting
Shotblasting is a method for cleaning and polishing the surface of metal parts using different machines depending on the size, shape and weight of the parts to be treated.
The shotblasting machines we normally use are the type with a loading frame, a conveyor belt, hoist and tunnel, and a free-jet sanding chamber.
Painting is carried out in a special booth by spraying solvent-based or water-based epoxy primers, nitro-based primers and inorganic or epoxy zinc coatings. Colours are chosen to customer specification. We comply with environmental protection and occupational health and safety requirements and have replaced, with the assistance of qualified reliable partners, solvent-based epoxy paints with water-based ones, which has resulted in a dramatic reduction in the emissions of volatile organic compounds without affecting product quality.
Surface quality is also guaranteed by the use of the latest and most sophisticated paintwork systems using catalyzed coating at the ends.
Coating thickness is measured using specific digital thickness gauges.
