Founded as an artisan workshop in 1974 by the Temponi brothers Luciano, Pasquale and Piergiorgio, the company started to expand its activity in 1988 with the construction of the new production site in Nave, near Brescia.
Growth in 1995 was the result of the commitment and the entrepreneurial skills which have always marked both the first and the second management generations, and which has allowed a quantum jump in terms of both service responsiveness, flexibility, and quality.
Two more steps characterize the company’s growth. In 2006 the F.lli Temponi further expanded its business by building a third production unit, dedicated to the heat treatment of aluminium and copper alloys, and in 2012, thanks to the birth of Temponi 2 Trattamenti Acciai [steel treatments], by extending its services to the steel sector. Evolution not only in terms of size, but – more importantly – technology, automation processes and all-encompassing computerization, from production to management. This allows the company to operate in strict compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements and guarantee an all-round process, from heat treatment to shotblasting and painting. An advanced management system enables customers to monitor the progress of their orders at any time, obtain information and certificates from their own reserved area, all in accordance with the latest European guidelines on e-commerce and product traceability, in order to guarantee a fully integrated cycle and complete process transparency.
Research and Development
As part of its continuous improvement programme, the company has focused on a series of initiatives, the aim being to meet the demand of a market that is increasingly exacting and sophisticated.
- Production has been fully computerized and dedicated software monitors work progress in the various departments.
- The corporate website contains a reserved area, where customers can download documents, whenever they want–such as transport documents (TDs), invoices and certificates – and view a progress report of their orders, by simply entering a password attributed by the company in compliance with Italian Privacy Law no. 196/2003.
- All furnaces are linked to a PLC and software, which reads and stores all the heat treatment cycles performed.
All-round computerization allows process traceability and information in real time, but always placing emphasis on keeping in contact and dialoguing with customers – a concept of dynamic company that is always progressing and particularly attentive to environmental impact when making its choices. A pioneer in separate waste collection, in the fight against electromagnetic fields and in energy efficiency and recycling, the company adopts this philosophy in the choice of plant, machinery, materials and equipment as well.
